More than 40 years of MPK
MPK has been producing plastic injection moulded parts for over 40 years, primarily for the caravan and motorhome industry. One focus in this respect is the production of rooflights for caravans and motorhomes.
MPK also produces other components for leisure vehicles such asexterior connectors, gas outlet boxes, vents, floor vents, grab handles and hinges. in addition, MPK also manufactures numerous plastic parts to customer specifications.
The company was established in 1973 by Horst Reichwald, initially operating as EL WEPLAST and MEPLA until being renamed MPK shortly afterwards.
MPK developed rooflights for caravans in 1975 in cooperation with a well-known caravan manufacturer. Both th frame and the dome were made of plastic - a pioneering development at that time, but now a standard feature of caravan equipment.
As early as 1976, MPK was one of the first manufacturers to produce rooflights with a folding fly-net and retrofittable roller blind. These functions too, have since become indispencable in the caravan industry.
2004: A gerneration change in management. The takeover of Thomas Bessmann, son-in-law of the company's founder, set the stage for a bright future for the successful family enterprise.
This was followed by several new projects, including development of the new VisionVent product family (rooflights).
The small VisionVent S, with ist modern and shapely clear glazed dome, was unveiles in 2005, followed in 2007 by the larger VisionVent M pro, which also had a new clear glazed dome an a superior-quality inner frame with double pleating.
Following this, 2011 saw the launch of the latest MPK development, the Visionstar M pro motorhome rooflight, an extremely low profile clear glazed dome which minimises driving noise. It impresses through its single-handed operation and a thoroughly modern design.
Numerous well-known manufacturers place their trust in the quality of parts provided by MPK an the reliability of supply. MPK supplies most caravan and motorhome manufaturers in Germany ond other european countries today, along with customers in South Africa, Japan, Austrailia and New Zeeland.
